Uses / Indications:
Vancomycin Injection is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of bone infection, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin suture infections, Septicemia caused by MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), infective Endocarditis, C. difficile associated diarrhea (Clostridium difficile) and Staphylococcal Enterocolitis. Vancomycin Injection may be used alone or with other medications.

To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of vancomycin and other antibacterial drugs, vancomycin should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.
Side Effects:
Vancomycin Injection may cause serious side effects including: flushing of the upper body, dizziness, low blood pressure, muscle pain/spasms of the chest or back, ringing in the ears, hearing problems, change in the amount of urine, easy bleeding or bruising, fever, persistent sore throat, persistent diarrhea.
